Members of

Fernings is a member of the Federation of Master Builders, the UK’s largest trade association for small and medium-sized building companies. Membership signals that we follow recognised industry standards and gives clients additional reassurance around quality, service and business practices.

We are also members of the Guild of Master Craftsmen, a long-established trade body that assesses, supports and promotes high standards of workmanship. For clients, the Guild mark is a simple way to identify firms that are committed to competent, reliable work.
Working towards
Fernings is currently progressing CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) accreditation, which independently reviews our policies, procedures and training against recognised health and safety standards. Once complete, this will give clients and design teams an additional level of assurance around how we plan and manage work on site.
We are also working towards Constructionline accreditation, a widely used UK pre-qualification system that assesses a contractor’s compliance with key areas such as health and safety, quality management and environmental practice. Achieving this status will make it easier for public and private clients to verify our credentials.
In parallel, Fernings is laying the groundwork for a future B Corp certification application. B Corps are independently verified for their social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability; our aim is to build Fernings in a way that is commercially robust while also meeting those wider responsibilities.
